I don’t know about you, but I love talking. I love throwing out ideas, having a great conversation with some friends, or sitting down with someone and just giving them advice about things going on in their life. I enjoy the aspect of letting my ideas known and I am not too shy about letting people know what I think.

From wherever spring arrives to heal the ground

From wherever searching comes the look itself

So be quiet now and wait…

I often carry this over to my spiritual life and my time with God. I constantly find myself asking God for guidance, praying for certain things, telling Him what is going right and wrong, and telling Him what is on my mind. I am constantly talking and not listening.

One of the things I have been learning is the art of listening. I am beginning to learn that sometimes I need to shut up and just listen to what God has to say, because He has so much to say.
